Does our SIZE matter, or should we be more aware of how we FEEL? (Stronger? Not as tired? Happier? Not as PMS-y? etc etc..)
Cause frankly, I think I am stuck at this particular SIZE for a while yet.
But I am starting to FEEL better...
Anyone?

Yes ma'am! ;-) FEELing better is a big part of this, I think.
I need my size to get smaller eventually and it will, but FEELing better is my number one goal right now.
:-)
Ya know? I think it depends on your age-honestly! When I was in my 20's and 30's...heck and even into my 40's, it was all about size and looks. Now that I'm NOT in my 40's, it's all about fittness and health. I joined a private training gym about 3 years ago. They asked for the 3 most important reasons that I was joining. I wrote:
1. Increase flexibility.
2. Increase endurance.
3. Maintain balance (as people get older, falls are one of the major causes of injuries and death :(
The owners still tease me about those! They say that in 20 years of training, they have NEVER had a woman not mention weight loss. So, that's the long answer to your short question :) And yes, I am still 25 lbs overweight even though I work out (formally, in a gym) 3 days a week, and ride/hike at least 3 days more.
It should be about how you feel in your own skin and in your clothes. Eventually, in theory, your weight and size will follow suit.
Definitely how you feel is more important. The "guides" out there for proportion of weight/height etc., are too general....I think a lot of this has to be looked at on an individual basis.
For me personally I want to feel better. Of course I also want to be smaller but with the craptastic back pain these last few weeks feeling better trumps being smaller.
Well, I agree with everyone else. It's what my mother always told me. She volkswalks (a walking group sport sort of thing where they have planned 10k walks all over the country- it's quite popular!) and has for years. As a teen, I would roll my eyes about her urge to go do this on weekends. However, at 68, she has as much energy as a high school cheerleader and I am the one that appears slow and old.
I want to FEEL better. I've got enough health challenges already. Looking better is just the icing on top!
FEEL baby!! If you feel good, you'll look good! Size and weight is a number...sure we need to watch that we are healthy but feeling good will make you healthy!
Good for you!!
