I Did It!

Hay! I did it! I can move 107 lbs. hay bales around on my own by lifting them, not rolling, flipping or sliding them! The new hay is in 107 lbs bales, the old hay was in 130 lbs bales. The last couple loads of the old hay seemed light to me. They were easier to move. But, they weren’t lighter, I’m just stronger! Yay Me! I rock!

Now, to work on this whole 5k business...

No, no "gun show" here. They still wiggle and jiggle like jello. Nobody wants to see THAT.

This is kinda a big deal for me because a few years ago, the Drs told me not to lift more than 20 lbs because of my fibro and arthritis. Well, as a single mom, that was unrealistic. There wasn't anybody to do the heavy lifting. And at times Dude needed to be carried for whatever reason (usually uncooperative). Then shortly after I married my husband, we discovered he's seriously allergic to hay (seizures). So, we paid for full care boarding to avoid dealing with hay. Now, that's obviously not an option and I've been getting along by only moving 2-5 bales every 2 weeks. It just feels so great to be able to move 8 of them on my own this past weekend without a struggle!
