Oh My Aching Head

The non stop rain of the past two weeks left us with at least ten inches of water to be dealt with. It brought about cabin fever, frustration, tears, and to top it all off, a wonderful, throbbing, nose running, head spinning, weak kneed, slack jawed, dazed looking head cold from HELL.

However, the kids and I did manage to walk some before the cold took too hard a hold of me, and I even went walking with my horse. Right now, it's all I can do to toddle to the potty in time from flooding my living room, but hey- at least in my delusional state I find that amusing.

With being trapped inside, my appetite has gone down to nothing. Which is good. Consumption equaled out to expenditure, and not an over abundance of either.

Planning Christmas dinner has been left up to others. My plan? Sample a bit, but do not over indulge. The kids and I will be making some rice crispy peanut butter and chocolate treats, and a loaf or three of homemade bread, and then we'll just lend a hand where we are needed for the rest of the cooking. One good thing about cooking loads of food- by the time I get done with prep work, helping, cleaning up, and setting up, I am too tired to eat. I don't even want to really LOOK at food.

Merry Christmas y'all. And I sure hope the rest of you are healthier than I am at the moment!

Oh dear, take care of yourself. What a time to catch cold. Hope you're on the mend. My Christmas dinner plan is like yours: taste everything but avoid the 'stuffing'. Ha.

Hope you are feeling better soon. I am just one week out from feeling better from a cold that took me down for 2 weeks. I had a stupid cough that did me in - even lost my voice. (Hubby liked that part, lol)

Nothing like a bit of cabin fever to push everyone over the edge - here's hoping your weather picks up as well, so the kidlets can get outside and burn off some steam, giving you a break!

Merry Christmas to you and your family. I'm planning to go light on the food as well. Luckily it is just 24 hours of family and food and not a whole bunch of parties to go to.

Thank you ladies, for the well wishes.

Hey Laura- is it just me, or is it more a relief almost, tonot have to worry about lots of holiday parties to attend? I'm loving the stay home life these days, where social interaction in minimal. Takes a lot of the stress away!!

I sure hope you feel better, Christmas with those little men is probably a blast!!

With Dear Husband around at least you know the food will be good - then whatever you choose to sample from will be tasty.
(even if DH doesn't make you think of baby carrots and cherry tomatoes lol)

MM - totally a relief for me. I'm much more of an introvert, so going to endless parties and gatherings (even with family) really wears me out...

LMAO CDN... oh geeze.... lolololol Girl, ya aint right. Thats all I have to say. Ya just aint right! But man alive do I love ya!

Laura- me too. Even being in a grocery store with lots of people just.... *bugs*.. me to no end. I tend to go out really early in the morning, to try and avoid as many people as possible. I can handle client stops, since there is a horse (or three) to focus on, and usually only a couple of extra people. But parties? Where there are no horses? Oh dude-- fagedaboudit.

And thanks OS!! You take care out there too with that knee!!!!
